Showcase
Every semester the A Cappella Council hosts a live concert where all groups perform two songs. This spring, showcase will take place at Commonwealth Auditorium in the Sadler Center at 8:30 PM on January 29th.

Lower Voice Groups:
First Round Auditions
Every semester, A Cappella Council hosts in-person auditions for all council groups. Every group will have you prepare a verse and chorus of a song of your choice. Choose a song you are comfortable with that shows off your voice! Each group will have their own vocal exercises that they will explain during the audition.

Callbacks
Hooray! Getting a callback means you are in the final stage of the audition process. Groups will let you know in advance your time slot and requirements, so be prepared to check your email! Callbacks will be more a extensive tests of your fit within each group. After your callbacks are done, you will fill out a preference sheet ranking the groups that called you back.

The audition process and the a cappella community is organized through a number of governance rules that are in place to ensure fairness and good relations between every group. Auditions can be incredibly competitive, so don't be discouraged if you don't get into a group on your first try! Groups are looking for different voice parts and types every semester, and we encourage you to audition again!

*There are some groups outside of council, such as No Ceiling, FLOW, Lawcappella, and Crim Dell Criers! You can find out their audition processes through their social media platforms which include Instagram, TribeLink, and Facebook.*
